Christian-american Poll Results

June 13, 2007 / by mmmhollywould

I said I would be back with the reason I had the poll up asking if as a Christian you considered yourself American or Christian first.  You see in all the churches I have went to they have always taught that God comes before all else and that nothing can be without god and I consider this a good thing and my vote would be I am Christian first just as most did though I do consider the vote tainted knowing there were non-Christians voting.

The reason I even bothered to ask the question is because I listen to talk radio a lot and like all of the conservative hosts generally and until the day I did this poll I liked Michael Savage. He is very anti-Muslim as a whole not anti radical Muslim but all Muslims.  I can understand hating the haters but not the non-radical moderate Muslims.  So he used a poll he did of the Muslim people and one of the questions was do you consider yourself Muslim first or American and 60% of the Muslims polled considered themselves Muslims first which floored me because I knew that Christians would answer the SAME way.  I just thought it was pretty deceitful and believe he had to have known that. I think it was sickening that he used that as an example of why Muslims are bad because in effect he was saying all Christian are just as bad as the people he chooses to hate.

I thank each and every one of you for participating in my poll.  See I told you it was not a bad thing and for the 54% of you who put God First…Right on!

I don't think that a person who put their god before their country can be called a patriot.

See I see it vice versa. If you believe in God he must come first.

As for who I would vote for (If I were American, of course), I looked for Sen. Sam Brownback, but his name wasn't even on the list...That's a minor disappointment. I'd probably take Romney a distant second.

Nice going[THUMBUP]. Plus - All my wife's relatives are Muslims - though she is Christian and was before we met. They are all very nice people, love God and seriously pray every day. I love them, but find it difficult to say to them "stop praying 5 times a day and do it our way". And I don't think God wants me to, By the way, I am not sure whether they consider themselves Muslims first or Indonesians first. Indonesians are still very proud of freeing themslves from the Dutch.[SMILE][HEART]

I am glad that you are so tolerant and I do think that is something we must teach our future leaders!

I will say my guilty confession is: I cannot stand Jehovah's witnesses.
