I am making this post because I have little faith that our voices will be heard. Yes, little faith. No one has listened yet, in my opinion.
We went from a platform that while slow and had few options for personalization it was much better than the catastrophe we have now.
First and foremost I want to say that I have read more than once how we now have an “advanced Editor” . No we do not have an advanced editor we have a dumbed down version of the old advanced editor that looks more complicated. Some of us actually can write code and anywhere you can add code and that code be translated to work exactly as you wrote it to is an advanced editor. This one dumbs down your html and changes it.
Some think being able to customize your blog is worth all the bugs but guess what? You can’t customize anything and if we are expected to wait like we did for this awful change it could be months before you see it. Is having a simple way to change the look of you blog worth all the bugs?
Oh yeah and wasn’t this blogster supposed to be faster? *coughs* which was the main reason people got frustrated with the old blogster? Man, guess what? This is oft’ times slower!
What about the lost articles? I was assured by blogster this would not happen but guess what? I have a lot of missing articles.
The buddy list is screwed.
The emoticons are the ugliest I have seen on the internet.
The html section of the so called “advanced editor” does not read code properly.
I use firefox but no one should have to use it to download it to use blogster.
Recent visitors is gone, which is a very important traffic tool that increases how long people visiting blogster stay on the site , an especially useful tool to KEEP new bloggers thus increasing a sites content.
There is no tutorial for any one.
Can you now add html to your comments? If so why doesn’t it say that?
Often times when you click on one blog you will get a different one.
The most popular blog list is way too short.
The most recent blogs does not continue.
The commenting is worse than it ever was.
Also about the private folks, Their blogs should NOT be listed in recent blogs or most popular. . They should be just that Private.
What about bloggers who had their blogs deleted in the past because they realized they were getting way to personal or they typed before they though and deleted entire accounts and now those accounts are back to slap them in the face but, but a lot of articles that people actually want there are gone?
I could go on and on but I will let the few articles I found most with tons of comments about how much they dislike this new and unimproved blogster.
I do not believe for a minute that my voice will be heard or the voice of to theirs(folks below) we have been hung out to dry for how long now with no comments or blogs from the powers that be?
I heard some one say “we are blogter” and I totally agree but does anyone care? Do they care if they lose the most prolific bloggers or the little guy who just joined because let me tell you the little guy they lost because of a bug could be the next prolific most popular blogger who is now blogging somewhere else. Fortunately most of us old bloggers are to tenacious to let go but if we keep losing articles we will soon let go and move on as well. I used to blog here all the time but barely visit now and I am sure it is happening to others. The farther you get away from a thing the less it matters……………….

I agree--Blogster has been trashed, but not by hackers. I can't believe that they couldn't, or didn't think it was necessary to test the new software before bring it live. I taught several people to write code to change color, font size, add pictures, etc. Most people who can use a computer in the first place can master it. Now I can't even post my "Picture of the Week" on my profile page. Anyway, I won't take up your space to bitch, but I'm not at all happy with this trashed site.
I like listening, well reading you bitch maybe if we keep bitching it will get fixed, especially the TOS
