CHICAGO (Reuters) - A transgender man who kept his female reproductive organs despite his transformation is now five months pregnant and will appear on Oprah Winfrey's television show, the talk show said on Tuesday.

"I'm a person and I have the right to have my own biological child," Thomas Beatie, of Bend, Oregon, said in excerpts from the show, which airs on Thursday.
Sceptics questioned whether the story was an April Fool's hoax, but the Chicago-based talk show said Winfrey interviewed Beatie, his wife Nancy and their obstetrician along with friends of the couple. Beatie also did an interview with People magazine.
Beatie and his wife Nancy recount how she was unable to conceive because of a prior hysterectomy, according to the excerpts.

I would like to know if you know how many children are born ambiguous. Do you? I bet you think that number is small, miniscule in fact, don’t you? Okay your ignorance shines! The answer is one in one thousand. Do tell then how that one in one thousand could not be gay? Tell me how parts matter when it is in fact a brain thing triggered by hormones.

If God makes people like this who could be gay by birth and not choice OBVIOUSLY either God is flawed or your interpretation is! No wait these are the “freak babies” your predecessors would have killed at birth as a monster and you call your self pro-life!

Born female, not both. Had an OPERATION 10 years ago to "become" a man (lesbian mutilates self into 'manhood'). Has been taking medicine in order to complete the FORCED change into a man, which only changed outward appearance, not internal organs.
Now I know you just love to vent your spleen on anything you consider bigotry (how very "open-minded" of you), but you're really reaching here. To say "he" was equipped to sleep with both sexes naturally is a lie. She was born female and forced her body to take on the outward appearance of a male. How is that "born like this?"
By your definition, a person is "born" as a one-armed person if they happen to have it cut off later in life.

Did I say him in particular? I referred to people in general that they "could be born like this"
That they are born this way and not as infrequently as you would like to believe

Interesting. I think it is quite bizarre though I am non-judgemental. Whether it is wrong, is God's call, not mine. The same aplies to every other moral thing too, including Gay rights.
I don't mean this as an insinuating remark, I am simply curious. Someone told me not too long ago that studies of children who are raised by gays and lesbians show that the children suffer mentally because of it and are prone to psychological traumas more so than those raised by straight parents. I've never checked into that and I don't have an opinion on it one way or the other but I was curious if you've heard of such studies?

Umm, I agree that gays should be treated equally, but God made you whatever gender you are for a reason. But if you don't believe in God then whatever about that...
It's either you're a man or a woman, not both. If she/he wanted to be a man, then I don't think she/he should have become a "man" and STILL got pregnant. It just seems wrong to me.
Just my opinion, please nobody freak out. I get enough of that everywhere else but blogster.
I believe in God but in the same breath I do not believe God decides gender because most would say they believe God does not make mistakes. So you have to decide then does God make mistakes or dos God not decide gender because it is a FACT that 1 in 1000 children are born ambiguous be it because they have no parts unidentifiable parts or more than one part. While most of these problems EXCEPT having more than one part are due to prematurely are we then to assume that the miracles of medical science should not correct these at any time in a person’s life? If some one is born with both parts, has one removed should they then not be lowed to have sex with both since they were both male and female? Do you pretend to know what a person’s hormones and chemicals are saying to their brain? What about the rare disorder where a woman is completely female on the outside but has xy chromosomes? This is gender specific; in spite of her parts she is male.
What about my friend who was born with two vaginas who had to get cosmetic surgery before she hit puberty because she ultimately has two sets of female reproductive organs should she have been allowed to be to die from having sex because she was impregnated in both perfectly functional uteruses? Is she more female than female and then it would be okay in gods eyes for her to be gay?
Considering all of the disorders that do in fact cause homosexuality how can you or me deny someone gender reassignment? Can you honestly tell me what is going on iin their brains, hormones or even their parts?
Do you really think God cares what anyone does in their bedroom?
