See now I am pissed and breaking my own rule, writing two blogs in a day.
Now let’s go back to the Marcaureli blog now back to that paper doll theory of mine, we are not born a blank slate. What about Gay men? Can they now choose not to be gay because they are unhappy they were dealt those cards and no matter how often they try to find the meat curtains attractive they just cannot get a reaction unless they are looking at a man? Can they go back, find what it was that was broke and fix it because you know something other than biology must have made them think they were gay because they are not , really, right? In spite of the fact that they were born that way? A little mark on their clean slate?
That relates back to the final part of my other blog Self , God and Fat, abortion. Since we were speaking in hypothetical’s there I would like to add to that. So say there were a gay gene? I do not know if there is or isn’t but lets say tomorrow science discovered without a doubt that this was the gay gene and all gay men have it and no straight person does. So now there is a definitive way to determine in the womb if a child will be gay or not, how much longer would their still be a pro-choice lobby? Would those who wish death on homosexuals outright or a long languishing death from aids still want to take women’s choice away? I bet they would take choice away the other way, if it were found their woman were carrying a gay gene baby he would have the option to force abortion or legally force no support should she choose to keep the offending child.
The very people who are pro-choice and sit and write their self righteous blogs all day I am willing to bet have never volunteered their time in the inner city, made 500 business cards with their number on it for fourteen bucks and handed them out at abortion clinics to be give out to those who are in crisis, worked with needy kids, visited old folks homes, fostered or adopted a crack baby, downs baby, troubled teenager or done anything more than give money or made an appearance at Christmas time.
We have one man, Possibly two, both gay who have done just that one by profession and the other because of his loving sprit. East Kentucky Progressive and Great Martin . I know by profession East Ky helps his community and gives of himself and time and when that long day is finally over there may not be much left in him emotionally or physically for the type of giving Martin does.
Martin gets out in the community to help those boys where turned out by their very upright and giving Christian families. Turned out because they were gay and left to suffer what ever cruelties this world offers homeless teenagers. Gay BOYS have died of aids in his arms for disease they traded for their next meal. He goes out in the community and tries to make a difference. He tries to make the last days better for the true late term abortions. He tries to help those whose parents CHOSE not to.
I am so sick of hearing about abortions because it sounds an awful lot like hypocrisy. If you want to change the world you do not it by writing bigoted blogs and listing to talk radio while your ass gets fatter. You get out in the community and help! You can find a place to contribute within your own value system.
Did I mention great martin does all of this and is not young? In fact, sorry Martin, some would call him elderly. The time when he is supposed to be enjoying his life and being a bit selfish he is giving to those in need. I applaud him. We may disagree on a lot of things a lot of the time but this is perhaps one of the most wonderful people I have ever had the privilege of knowing.
Yes, phone sex operators do contribute to their community as well.

I must say that as you know and I have said before I have learned a LOT this past year through blogs and the folks that write them. YOU included my dear!!
I don't believe in abortion personally unless the Mother's life is in danger. I don't care to put myself in the position of deciding that for ANY woman no matter what their reasoning is. I am a firm believer in *Adoption* We are very thankful and blessed because of adoption. As a parent I cannot see nor can I understand, fathom, I am just speechless how *ANY PARENT* could turn their child away. My husband and I LOVE our son with all of our hearts and all of our being. We fell in-love with him when they put him in my arms when he was three days old!! My Dad adopted me so, our son and I have that special tie there.
We have always been very supportive of our son and always will be. He is straight but, we would love him just the same if he wasn't!! I might add that three of us are very close and have always been able to talk about anything. We have always had a very open relationship with him and him with us!!

Second, you pose the question, is there a "gay gene" , and I thought this was an interesting tidbit to add...

Plus, if our government didn't think there was a biological component, they wouldn't have funded a program to build a "Gay Bomb"..
But would members of the religious right have us aborted if they knew their child may be or would be gay. Probably they would. They already demonstrate hypocracy in being "pro-life" yet "pro-death penalty". Plus, IMO, most of them were supportive of the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq, a country which never attacked us, and still remain supportive of it regardless of all the information proving it was illegal, propagandized on us, and premeditated. But that is a whole other rant.

FYI - Sometime ago I was informed in a documentary that sex orintation was determined at a specific time during feotal development by the amount of hormone that was present at that time.
More recently we have: -

Experience of people's views on these things tends to show that what 'mum and/or dad said or best friend said must be true and must remain loyal to it' will remain in force no matter how many scientific studies or how much logic is applied the people who have this fixed attitude are condemned to the private purgatory of ignorance than accept that things might actually be different to what they believe true.
Yeah...You're right, I get the gist. People should leave gay people alone.
If they want to adopt kids, that's ok. Can't be any worse for the kids than being raised by some of the hetero couples out there.

Oh, on all blogs to spout that, “Gay” is a choice you picked the wrong one lady. Do you think the boy that died in Martins arms, the one who’s Christian parents turned him out onto the streets to screw strangers just to eat “CHOSE” that? Hell no he is human just like you and humans choose the EASY road always, it is the human condition, and being gay is not they easy road.
If you think gay is a choice explain to me how that can be when one in 1,000 babies are born ambiguous and that is a physical characteristic that will have a huge impact on ones sexual orientation and further who are you to say what the chemicals in ones body are telling them? What about their DNA what about the women who have both tits and a vagina yet according to their DNA, it being XY are genetically male? These men and women suffer with the choices that were made before they were born.
If someone is a pedophile, they are on whether or not they ever act on it. You would not believe the amount of guys who call me so they can pretend I am a kid so they can fantasize about doing a little baby, toddler, kid or teenager while I ALWAYS hang up on them I am willing to bet others entertain them. When pedos make love to their wives you can bet it not an adult they are picturing. A pedophile like a homosexual or even a heterosexual is born one and will always be one. The difference is he knows if he gets caught he will go to jail. If you would like to let your kids hang out, knowingly, with a pedo God “cured” by all means feel free but when tragedy strikes remember Holly told you a pedo will always be a pedo, that is how they were born it is in fact how they are wired.
So since Martin is a homosexual who actually has given his life to the children you dear “Christians” have neglected because you are to narrow-minded to see there is scientific fact to substantiate homosexuality and the FACT that it is not a choice, it is nice to know that his “Good Works “will go unseen” by Your “God” because instead of kneeling, praying and writing blog articles he was actually doing something to affect change and give aid to another. ok..with all the bible stuff. i'm a catholic. and holly is right. the bible is written by MEN. and also Jesus's stories were parables and that stuff is METEPHOR. you can't take anything straight from the bible and say "this is how it is". plus...just thought i'd put this out there....technically God isn't straight!! He Loves ALL of us NO MATTER WHAT and if we should NEVER, EVER EVER have to be sorry for Loving someone.
